DG Monitoring (Diesel Generator)
Optimize Your DG Monitoring
Our cutting-edge Wireless DG Monitoring (Diesel Generator Monitoring) and Management System represents a groundbreaking advancement in DG monitoring technology, transforming your Genset into a SMART DG. When diesel generators run at full capacity, they achieve three times greater efficiency compared to operating at partial capacity. Running them at partial capacity not only reduces their efficiency but also leads to potential damage, resulting in increased maintenance intervals and higher operational costs.
Our DG Monitoring system operates based on the principles of energy monitoring, auditing, and conservation. We collaborate with diesel generator manufacturing companies to optimize output, especially during non-optimal Genset usage.
Radius’ advanced real-time DG monitoring solution remotely tracks critical generator parameters such as fuel quantity, coolant levels, voltage, current, temperature, and load status. These real-time updates and alerts contribute to increased efficiency, enhanced diagnostic capabilities, and the convenience of accessing data from anywhere and at any time through our user-friendly web and mobile applications.
We provide solutions for optimizing generation schedules to minimize fuel consumption.
Key Highlights of Our DG Monitoring System:
- Near real-time monitoring data for diesel generators.

DG Monitoring (Diesel Generator) System Overview
At the installation site, various network configurations are in operation, tasked with capturing data from the diverse subsystems and transmitting it to the backend platform.
- Diesel Generator Monitoring System Overview
- How it Works
Radius Synergies International Pvt Ltd (RSIPL) has developed a cutting-edge, patent-pending solution for monitoring Diesel Generators. This solution leverages contemporary technologies such as IoT/M2M.
The core of the solution is the integration between a diesel generator’s Engine Control Unit (ECU), which acts as the primary source of information, and the Xenius Gateway. The Xenius Gateway captures this data at predefined or configurable time intervals.
The field-collected data, once processed on the Xenius backend platform, becomes a valuable repository not only for diesel generator manufacturers but also for other stakeholders such as service partners, dealers, and end-users.
This bidirectional integration facilitates real-time automation, monitoring, and control, resulting in an intelligent and IoT/M2M-enabled product that can be supervised and managed from virtually anywhere.
All the comprehensive raw and processed data is accessible through Radius Cloud, allowing for health checks, operation scheduling, and product management, all from any internet-connected location. This translates into tangible business benefits, including efficient management and reduced ownership costs.
The Smart Diesel Generator Monitoring solution involves the integration of the Xenius Gateway with the communication port of the engine control unit. This integration enables the capture of essential data from various subsystems of the diesel generator, which is then transmitted to the backend platform.
- The Xenius Gateway is a specially configured device, designed to fit the appropriate form factor and equipped with the necessary firmware. It is physically installed within the diesel generator product by the manufacturer. Using a suitable communication mechanism, such as RS232 or RS485, it retrieves data from the diesel generator’s ECU at predefined or configurable time intervals. Additional peripheral measurement devices can also be added to the generator if needed. The gateway is equipped with a specially configured and provisioned APN SIM card for communication with the Xenia Cloud.
- The Xenia Cloud comes into play once the Diesel Generator is deployed and powered up in the field. The Xenius Gateway becomes operational and communicates via GPRS with the Xenia Cloud. All near real-time data is received by the Xenia Cloud for further processing and storage, making it accessible for various stakeholders and their specific needs. Configuration changes and control commands can be remotely transmitted from the Xenia Cloud to the end device, eliminating the need for physical field visits.
- The Human Machine Interface (HMI) is available in the form of internet web interfaces or mobile applications. Typically, web interfaces are provided for B2B clients, while mobile apps are used for B2C applications. The HMI facilitates near real-time access, provides reports, analytics, and delivers alerts and notifications to the relevant user community.
